The VitAL Alabama Annual Conference is partnering with the National Association for Rural Mental Health (NARMH) to offer an interdisciplinary education/ training opportunity. This opportunity will house both the 2024 VitAL Annual Conference as well as the 2024 Annual NARMH Conference. This conference will feature former NFL player and Heisman winner Johnny Manziel as the keynote speaker.

Johnny Manziel is a former college football star and NFL quarterback from Tyler, Texas. After an electrifying career at Texas A&M, Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy in 2012. Today, Manziel has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance use, sharing his journey towards a positive, purposeful life after fame at such a young age. Manziel hopes to inspire others through vulnerability and advocacy in this space.
