As online courses become more prevalent, promoting community is critical so students don't feel isolated and disengaged. However, cultivating meaningful connections can be challenging without face-to-face interactions. 
The UATA will host an informal discussion on practical strategies for building community in the virtual classroom. We'll tackle questions like: 
•    How can you encourage students to open up and interact in discussion forums? 
•    What activities foster collaboration and relationship-building? 
•    How do you enhance social presence through video? 
•    What roles can student peer leaders play? 
•    How can you identify and support students who remain disconnected?
