Add to calendarThe purpose of The University of Alabama's Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to ensure the safe and ethical treatment of humans as subjects in research, public service, and training programs. In accordance with federal and university regulations, it is required that the IRB review all research involving human subjects conducted at or sponsored by the University of Alabama regardless of the funding source.
This course is designed to provide a general overview of the steps for submitting an IRB application, and is geared toward first time IRB Protocol submitters.

Registration and Access Confirmation
Employees registering to attend a training course or workshop will receive:
1. An email notification from UA LMS confirming their registration.
2. A reminder notification from UA LMS one day before the session.
3. An email from HRLearningandDevelopment@ua.edu including Course Handouts and the Virtual Meeting Link one day before the session.
