The Education Abroad Alumni Association (EAAA), in partnership with CEA CAPA Education Abroad, will host a March Madness–inspired engagement event on the Quad designed to promote international education opportunities to University of Alabama students. The event will feature a portable basketball hoop where participants can “shoot their shot” for the chance to win prizes such as gift cards, BodyArmor sports drinks, and other themed giveaways.

Representatives from both organizations will be present to provide information about study abroad programs, share alumni experiences, and answer student questions about how to get involved in global learning opportunities. This interactive activity is intended to attract student engagement in a fun, approachable environment while increasing awareness of upcoming study abroad deadlines and available programs.

The event will include a small tabling setup with informational materials, prepackaged snacks/drinks, and prize distribution. No amplified sound or large equipment beyond the basketball hoop and table setup will be used.

The goal of this event is to encourage students to explore education abroad opportunities by connecting them with alumni ambassadors and program providers in an engaging, low-barrier environment that aligns with campus culture during the March basketball season.
