On November 20, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, the Gorgas House Museum invites you to a free event to make your own quilt patches that will then be put together into a community quilt by Brianna Porche, a University of Alabama masters student pursuing her Museum Studies certificate. Supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own!
 

Location

The Gorgas House Museum is located at 810 Capstone Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487, just off the Quadrangle of The University of Alabama campus (one block west of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library, at the corner of McCorvey and Capstone Drives).

Parking

There are five dedicated visitor parking spaces in the lot behind Smith Hall that can be accessed from Hackberry Drive. In addition, there is a parking deck located at Campus Drive and Hackberry Lane. The cost for visitor parking in the deck is $1 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour. To reach the parking deck, take Hackberry Lane to Campus Drive East, and the parking deck is on the right.

Parking ($5) is available in the North Ten Hoor and Student Center parking decks.
