The Intercultural Diversity Center will continue its Fall 2021 Social Justice Movie Series with “The State of Texas vs. Melissa.” Participants will learn about Melissa Lucio’s story as the first Hispanic woman sentenced to death in Texas, the appeal process and how her conviction was an egregious miscarriage of justice. In addition to the in-person viewing, this program will be provided for participants to engage virtually through Zoom. In order to attend the online component, registration is required.
