Gathering all gardeners in training…you are invited to the Alabama Museum of Natural History’s Grand Gallery on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for a free program to learn about basic tools you need for gardening, soil samples, and the proper way to plant! We will have hand outs and links to materials covering topics about growing herbs and vegetables.  Also, a planting guide and calendar for Alabama gardening. 

 

This program is for those 55 years old or older.

 

Spots are limited! Registering ahead of time will help secure your spot! Once the workshop is full, those who did not pre-register will not be able to join. Register for this program through our online form.

The Alabama Museum of Natural History is located inside Smith Hall on The University of Alabama campus. The street address is 427 Sixth Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487.

 

Parking

Parking in University of Alabama campus parking lots is free at the time of the event.
