Save A Life Day is organized by SOAR West Virginia, a community-based harm reduction organization in Charleston, West Virginia. Save a Life Day is an Appalachian-wide community outreach day to get more Appalachians trained on overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies. Harm reduction organizations throughout Appalachia provided naloxone, fentanyl testing strips, HIV testing kits and information packets for students, including UA SSDP, who will be distributing free naloxone on behalf of SOAR.
