View map Add to calendarPrepare for getting back into the classroom with the Moundville Education Department! On August 3 from 10 am until 2 pm, visitors are invited to learn how archaeologists use math, science, social studies, and an array of other academic disciplines to learn about the history of Alabama. We will have mock excavations, flint knapping, and an atlatl throwing range. Complete each station to earn your Alabama Junior Archaeological sticker. All Ages are welcome and activities are geared towards K-12.

Moundville is located 13 miles south of Tuscaloosa, off Alabama Highway 69 and the physical address is 634 Mound State Parkway, Moundville, AL 35474-6413.
