About this Event
Introduction to MATLAB10/1/2020 at 4-5 PM In this introductory virtual workshop, we will review the MATLAB GUI and syntax of MATLAB functions. Attendees will learn how to work with variables/arrays, plot data, construct conditional statements/loops, and write scripts. We will be using a mixture of text and numeric tabular data to help us understand how to apply these MATLAB techniques within a basic data analysis workflow. This workshop is designed for new users of MATLAB. Attendees that would like to follow along with MATLAB during the workshop should install MATLAB prior to the workshop. The University of Alabama has a site license to MATLAB, and you can obtain the this from the Office of Information Technology website for Windows, Mac, or Linux: https://oit.ua.edu/software/matlab/.Join us via Zoom (Registration required):https://uasystem.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwuce6qpjMqGddee4SyafX775kOguzoz712Vincent Scalfani is a Science and Engineering Librarian with Rodgers Library for Science and Engineering.
