For this program, I had the idea of bringing in some of my previous professors as well as come campus faculty to come in and speak with residents about black history/our current events happening in our community. I want this to be a moment for residents minds to expand beyond the surface. These individuals had a huge impact on my education as an African American young woman. These individuals consist of Dr. Utz McKnight, Dr. Elizabeth Bennet, Dr. Kiara Summerville, and Dr. Stacy Jones. I think making this program open to the whole building will open a lot of residents minds and make a huge impact.
