CGAT improves candidates' professional, administrative, and fiscal skills through a series of courses approved by the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama. Purchasing/Accounts Payable is an accounting course whose objective is to familiarize the participant with accounts and techniques used to record and generate payments to specific companies or individuals for products or services that have been purchased on credit by your entity. This course counts as a 6-hour elective course toward the Certified Governmental Accounting Technician Certificate awarded by the GFOAA.
