"Now taking the field is The University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band.” Tide fans hear this and start to loudly cheer with pride and anticipation at their appearance. Game appearances, concerts, and community events – they are part of our culture at UA and in Tuscaloosa. Our speaker is a former member and president of the Friends of the Million Dollar Band (MDB), Ronny Johnston, who will tell us how he became "one in a million." We will learn about MDB’s history, its evolution, physical and educational commitments, and the fun of being a member of the MDB.
