New Management Orientation is for those new to a supervisory/management position at The University of Alabama and will be supervising non-student staff. This includes new hires as well as existing employees who are new to a supervisory/management role. It is expected that new managers complete this training within their first month in their new management/supervisory role.

The purpose of New Management Orientation is to provide new members of management with an overview of:

• how to better understand and achieve University expectations
• their responsibilities for compliance with key University requirements
• key departments/functions that may be a resource
