What does it take to build a company from the ground up and turn it into a $250 million enterprise operating across 26 states? Come hear from University of Alabama alumnus and entrepreneur Bill Best, who has spent more than three decades building businesses and leading organizations across aerospace, defense, utilities, and technology.
Bill most recently served as the CEO and owner of Intrepid, a Huntsville-based aerospace engineering firm, where he grew the company into a major industry enterprise before retiring following its sale. Earlier in his career, he managed multimillion-dollar government contracts, worked with senior NASA and Department of Defense leaders, and built and ran a regulated Alabama utility company for more than 20 years.
Now retired and living in Tuscaloosa, Bill will share the experiences, challenges, and lessons that shaped his career, from starting and growing a business to leading through major opportunities and making decisions that can shape an organization’s future.
If you’re interested in entrepreneurship, business leadership, finance, aerospace, or simply want to hear what it really takes to build a successful career, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
