On September 16, the Collaborative Arts Research Initiative in collaboration with the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host guest speaker Jha D Williams, Senior Associate with MASS Design Group. Ms. Williams will present on the connections between design, public memory, and memorialization. Referencing recent memorial projects from MASS Design Group, Ms. Williams will illustrate how participatory design processes can foster truth-telling, commemoration, and healing. This will be a public lecture (open to the campus and community). Due to travel restrictions, these events and guest speaker visits will be held virtually over Zoom.
