Based on Ryan Leak’s 2025 best-seller How to Work with Complicated People: Strategies for Effective Collaboration with Nearly Anyone, this interactive workshop equips employees of all levels with practical strategies for navigating challenging workplace relationships by shifting from frustration to understanding, curiosity, and connection. Participants will explore how mindset, expectations, and communication styles shape collaboration, while building core skills such as self-awareness, ownership, empathy, and adaptability.

Through guided discussions and real-world scenarios, attendees will learn to “build bridges” with nearly anyone by strengthening communication, managing emotions, and fostering productive conflict outcomes. The session emphasizes that improving how we see and engage others can increase job satisfaction, strengthen teams, and create a more positive campus culture—without requiring others to change first.

Outcomes: Participants will leave with shared language, practical tools, and specific actions they can apply immediately in their campus roles.
