George Washington Carver: An Uncommon Way

This exhibition is a tribute to George Washington Carver’s industry and innovation as photographed by P. H. Polk, who captured Carver in both staged and candid moments at Tuskegee Institute.  Polk conveys Carver’s warmth and enthusiasm through the years as he researched in the laboratory and the field, and taught students and farmers in the community. George Washington Carver was perhaps Polk’s most photographed subject. This exhibit will be up through April 2022.
