The Indian Student Association of Tuscaloosa (ISAT) at the University of Alabama would like to celebrate the grad festival of lights, Diwali this year too on campus. Celebrated by everyone irrespective of the diversity in India, Diwali marks the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Every year, Diwali has been a signature event at the UA campus with almost 500 people turning out to share Indian tradition and culture, along with the delicious Indian food. Last year we had a crowd greater than 500 that had fireworks show which a tradition followed in India. This year too the ISAT would like to organize a fireworks show in addition to the Indian cultural events and performances. This event will bring together the Indian culture and other cultures around the campus together in addition to building the relationship between the Indian community and the Indian students on campus.
