About this Event

https://ua.campuslabs.com/engage/event/10645923The Indian Students Association of Tuscaloosa (ISAT) is delighted to be back this year with one of the biggest festivals on campus, Diwali. The new moon
night from Kartik (fall) month of the lunar calendar when lighted up is the perfect time to celebrate the victory of light over darkness, good over evil,
knowledge over ignorance, and unity in diversity. In recent years, Diwali has been organized on campus, attracting hundreds of people, especially UA
students, who share this festival by immersing in Indian culture. Last year, over 600 people made their presence to enjoy the cultural activities, dances,
songs, fashion walks, Henna booth, and delicious Indian food. Adding to this were the show-stopper fireworks towards the end, echoing the tradition in
India. This year also, ISAT would like to organize Diwali with the same enthusiasm and a huge crowd to bring the UA community closer by giving them a
wonderful experience of mouthwatering food, groovy dances, songs, a Heena counter, a photo booth, a sparkling fireworks show at the end.
