Join the UA Astronomy professors to celebrate the release of the first images from the Webb Telescope.
NASA's flagship space telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST or Webb for short), was launched on Christmas Day 2021 and has been deploying and commissioning since then.
Learn more about Webb, these first images, and what science we can expect as Webb gives us this deeper view into the universe from UA experts.
Weather permitting attendees will also be able to observe the sky with UA's 16" telescope atop Gallalee Hall.
Direct questions to Jeremy Bailin (jbailin@ua.edu), Bill Keel (wkeel@ua.edu), or Matthias Kaminski (mski@ua.edu).
