View map Free Event Add to calendarOn Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, the Gorgas House Museum invites visitors to learn the basic history of quilt making, see our Stitching Together Our Legacy exhibit, and create quilt patches using a variety of materials like paint, charcoal, markers, and embroidery. Including an aspect of your personality in your quilt patch is encouraged!
Previous artistic and crafting skills are not required and guidance will be provided. Each quilter will be able to take their quilt patches home!
Admission is free. Donations are welcome.

Location
The Gorgas House Museum is located at 810 Capstone Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487, just off the Quadrangle of The University of Alabama campus (one block west of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library, at the corner of McCorvey and Capstone Drives).
Parking
Parking in University of Alabama campus parking lots is free at the time of the event.
