In this coffee talk, we’ll explore how lab instruction can move beyond the “follow the steps” model toward true experiential learning. When every lab works perfectly, students miss the messy, uncertain process that defines real engineering and science. We’ll discuss ways to design labs that embrace iteration, analysis and teamwork. It's critical to help students see that when something goes “wrong,” it’s often when the most authentic learning happens.
