Generative AI can enhance teaching and learning in many contexts when implemented thoughtfully and intentionally; however, there are many situations when improper AI use can detract from the learning process and student achievement of desired learning outcomes. In this coffee talk, we will discuss strategies to discourage unauthorized AI use and encourage authentic engagement from students.
