This coffee talk focuses on how effective class [BS1] discussions can still be achieved in large lecture classes. Join this session to discuss challenges and strategies for implementation of discussions in your large lecture course. The emphasis will be on developing students' skills and their understanding of the course’s concepts and goals, meeting learning objectives, and providing a framework for students to think critically about course content and receive real-time feedback, all in large lecture settings
Session Leader: Doug Klutz, senior instructor in the UA Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice
