About this Event

https://ua.campuslabs.com/engage/event/10555945We are excited to announce the kickstart of the Dashain festival, one of the most cherished cultural events, by bringing back a special kite-flying tradition this year at UA!
As part of the Dashain festivities, it is customary in Nepal to fly kites to mark the beginning of the season. The kites, soaring high in the sky, are said to symbolize a prayer for clear weather, ensuring no rain disrupts the joyful celebrations of Dashain. This age-old tradition not only reflects a deep connection with nature but also brings communities together in a spirit of joy and fun.
All participants will have the opportunity to engage in this vibrant cultural experience by flying kites, just as it is done in Nepal. Whether you are a seasoned kite enthusiast or a beginner, this event is open to everyone! Kites will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Let’s come together to create a colorful sky and a joyful atmosphere as we celebrate community, culture, and connection.
