Behavioral Expectations Supported: Effective Communication

Target Audience:  All Learners

Pre-Requisites:  Learners are encouraged to complete all four modules, but not required. 

 

Beyond Conflict: From Constructive Confrontation to Enhanced Collaboration, is a new four-module series rolling out in Fall 2025 in partnership with Dr. Jennifer Humber, Assistant Professor and Director of the Graduate Certificate Program in Conflict Resolution, with the College of Human Environmental Sciences. Learn more.

 

Module II: What Did You Say? - Mastering Verbal Communication to Reduce Conflict 
In this session, participants will learn techniques for using verbal communication to diffuse and resolve conflicts. The focus will be on active listening, assertive speaking, positive word choice, appropriate use of jargon, and providing constructive feedback to foster a harmonious work environment.
