##earthdayBen is the Program Director, Watershed Sciences & Engineering at Bucknell University in the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment. Ben was instrumental in setting up the undergrad program in Watershed Sciences & Engineering and creating a green curriculum that ties their campus to the Susquehanna river that runs through it and gets students out in nature doing field work. Ben is passionate about indigenous involvement in their Center’s work. Ben also serves as the chair of the Bucknell River Symposium. His background is as a Fluvial Geomorphologist.
On April 21, he will speak about his experience creating an interdisciplinary water undergraduate program centered on the Susquehanna river and will give takeaways that could be used in parallel here with the Black Warrior. He will also touch on the stewardship aspects of their program as it relates to Earth Day.
