Over a period of many years, Norm and Carnetta Davis have amassed one of the most impressive private collections of African American art in the southeastern United States.  They have generously agreed to serve as this year’s Paul R. Jones Lecture Series speakers and will share stories related to their acquisition of selected pieces from their collection.  There also will be time for question-and-answer following their presentation.  This will be a valuable chance for attendees to learn more about several notable African American artists, interact directly with esteemed collectors, and gain insights into the all too often opaque realm of art collecting.
