About the Program

The workshop will provide an introduction to the dynamics of problematic sexual behaviors (PSBs) exhibited by children and adolescents, the role of trauma, and the influence of state and federal laws on therapeutic treatment. The workshop will be facilitated by licensed practitioners from the School of Social Work’s Youth Services Institute (YSI). YSI has 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents exhibiting PSBs and continuously utilizes the vast array of knowledge garnered to provide community-based treatment services for this specialized population.;

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will have a better understanding of:

The history of problematic sexual behaviors in children & adolescents, including common typologiesCommon myths and misconceptions associated with this client populationThe impact of trauma on treatment approachesApplicable state and federal laws guiding treatment practicesRegistration

The registration fee of $129 includes all handout materials, continental breakfast and refreshment breaks. Lunch is included in the registration fee.

Continuing Education

Certificates will be awarded at the end of the program based on your attendance. Partial credit will not be issued, and certificates will not be awarded early.
