The Department of English's Visiting Writers Series is excited to continue our 2025-2026 season with award-winning poet Rajiv Mohabir! On Tuesday, February 10, Indo-Caribbean American author Rajiv Mohabir will read a selection of his work and answer audience questions in the Camellia Room of Gorgas Library at 7 p.m. Arrive early (6:30 pm) for refreshments and mingling. Books will be available for purchase, and Rajiv will be signing books immediately following the event.
Rajiv Mohabir is an Indo-Caribbean American author of five acclaimed poetry collections, The Taxidermist’s Cut, Cowherd’s Son, Cutlish, Whale Aria, and most recently, Seabeast; a book of translation, I Even Regret Night; and his hybrid memoir, Antiman. He received his MFA in Poetry and Translation from Queens College, CUNY and his PhD in English from the University of Hawai`i. Rajiv is currently a professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
