The Department of English's Visiting Writers Series is excited to begin our 2024-2025 season with Pulitzer Prize winning Poet Carl Phillips! On Tuesday, September 10, Carl Phillips will read a selection of his work and answer audience questions at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center at 7 p.m. Arrive early (6:30 pm) for refreshments and mingling. Books will be available for purchase from Ernest & Hadley (including his newest, Scattered Snows, to the North as well as Then the War), and Carl will be signing books immediately following the event.
