About this Event
240 Paul W. Bryant Drive
The purpose of Faculty Research Day is to showcase and celebrate excellence in research, creativity and scholarship by bringing together faculty from across our campus. The event is also intended to increase awareness and generate enthusiasm for scholarship among faculty as the University advances its research enterprise and its impact. Additionally during the event, the President’s Faculty Research Award, sponsored by our President and the Vice President for Research & Economic Development, is awarded to outstanding faculty researchers from across UA Colleges and Schools.
Nominations for the President’s Faculty Research Award are solicited from faculty, departments and colleges for the Emerging, Mid-Career and Senior Scholar Awards. For each award category, one award will be given to a faculty member in the area of Physical and Biological Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Arts and Humanities.
Faculty Research Day and the corresponding Awards Ceremony is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate excellence in research and creativity, and to generate enthusiasm for scholarship among faculty. The event brings together faculty from across our campus and the ceremony commemorates the achievements of the awardees, giving them an occasion to share their successes with their families and friends.
We will celebrate the 2020, 2021 and 2022 awardees at the 2022 Faculty Research Day Awards Ceremony.
